COVID SAFE FAQs
Keeping our Singers Safe
Melbourne Contemporary Choir is comited to the safety of our singers and audiences. All rehearsal and performance spaces are adequately ventilated and regularly cleaned and room capacities observed. Members experiencing flu-like symptoms are required to make use of the on-line Zoom session broadcast Monday nights during regular session times. Members who test positive for COVID-19 or Flu must avoid attendance at MCCHOIR sessions and events until their symptoms subside or they test negative. Ticket refund policies are clearly communicated for each performance.
How is MCCHOIR cleaning its facilities?
We will conduct regular cleanings through approved contractors to ensure proper sanitation. Additionally, hand sanitizer will be located throughout the venue. Members should adhere to good food handling precautions during breaks.
Will MCCHOIR be screening those who attend in person?
Visibly unwell singers who attend will be asked not to attend.
IMPORTANTL: Should you have an elevated temperature or feel sick you are asked not to enter the venue.
We ask everyone to use good judgment: if you are feeling ill or have a family member who is feeling ill, please stay home until it is safe to attend.
If you have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or been asked to self-isolate please do not attend the session.
Attendance at each session will be taked using a sign in sheet in order for us to monitor singers in attendance. Should you become unwell following a session and test positive for Covid please email us at [email protected] so that we can let those in attendance to monitor for symptoms.
What is the ticketing and refund policy?
Please note membership is non-refundable and may not be exchanged for another singer. In case of medical emergency membership can be credited for future use on a case-by-case basis and is at the discretion of the director.
Do I need to be Vaccinated?
Due to the physical nature of singing vulnerable people are encouraged to seek medical advice regarding recommended vaccination.
Will I be required to check in at the venue?
Please sign in when you arrive, accurate records assist us to control spread of viruses.
What if I'm sick on a rehearsal day or performance?
We ask that you do not attend if you are unwell and access the private Zoom link to learn remotely. Please do not attend performances if you are unwell.
